"Sisterhood Built Through Service."

Our Roots
WHAT IS DKD ABOUT?
Delta Kappa Delta Sorority, Inc. is a service sorority that strives to raise awareness and prevent child abuse. On October 1st, 1999 B.E.T.I.S (Behind Every True Indian Sister) was established at Texas A&M University at College Station, Texas. These girls all had a goal to educate their campus and city about their Indian sub-continental culture. Later on Delta Kappa Delta gained its true letters and through the hard work they gave in service, education, and pursuing their goal, a sisterhood was born. We strive to help the less fortunate and as a result our lives are more fulfilling. We take it as our duty to help the lives of children and through following our purpose our bonds grow stronger. Sisters of DKD are determined, hardworking, compassionate, and empathetic individuals. Together we strive to make a difference in the world because "Who We Be?" "DKD!"
THE HISTORY OF EPSILON CHAPTER
Delta Kappa Delta Sorority, Inc. is the first and only South-Asian interest, service sorority in the nation. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is home to Epsilon Chapter, which was founded on September 30, 2006. In our almost 9 years on campus we have strived to promote Delta Kappa Delta’s principles of sisterhood, service, culture, and indomitable spirit, as well as our motto – Sisterhood built through Service. We are incredibly proud of our work to further our philanthropy, child abuse awareness and prevention. We do service on campus with organizations like Crisis Nursery, The Center for Women in Transition, and Asha for Education, as well as at events like Read Across America and Relay for Life. In addition, we enjoy a strong social life through monthly sisterhood socials and mixers with other campus organizations.
